The idea and monitoring the effects of micro pricks existed for hundreds, even thousands of years, starting from the ancient Chinese, Indian and Egyptian healthcare practices. Cosmetic and medical nicks as we know them today, however, are a relatively new concept. Modern therapies micro nicks constitute repeatedly puncturing the skin with very thin needles, which cause micro-trauma, and thereby induce an immune response in the skin. This is a method known as "fractional rejuvenation".
The advantages of micro pricks were observed for the first time by Dr. Andre Kamirand. In his efforts for the cancellation of hypertrophic scars on some of his patients by tattoo pigment in the skin, Dr. Kamarand noticed that one or two years later, the pigment dissolves completely, and replaced by actual melanin. At the very traits also seen a significant improvement in texture, appearance and color. This idea to trepanation (from the Greek word - Trepanon: drill hole) scars with gun tattoo, which led to their improvement and re-pigmentation.
Then Dr. Kamarand done experiments mikroubozhdaniyata with gun tattoo without pigment, which led to the same result. In all of his patients has been a steady aesthetic improvement of the skin.
Following the results of Dr. Kamirand Dr. Fernandez constructed device nicks - small needle-printing, which used regularly in surgical practice to induce the production of collagen. It provides its first report on skin prick upper lips ISAPS Congress in Taipei in 1996.
In 2004 it was first introduced dermaroler (roller with pins). Dermarolerat is a small roller with igki that wallowing on the skin surface, leaving behind traces of microscopic holes. This provokes an aseptic process of inflammation which stimulates collagen production. The number of pricks caused by dermarolera is much greater than the number of punctures of the gun for tattoos or any method previously used.
Dermarolerat however, had some drawbacks. Different areas of the face and body require different depths of penetration, therefore require different dermaroleri for the same patient. Moreover dermarolerat is disposable. The roller can not reach some hard to reach places, such as around the eyes and nose. Dermarolerat causing tears in the surface of the skin causing pain and discomfort to the patient during the procedure.
This leads to the appearance of DermaPen
Unlike their less technical predecessors DermaPen (literally translated "Dermal-Pen") allows the user to control nearly every aspect of therapy. Vertical pricks of the needle reduces pain, while the electric motor provides optimal number of pricks per second. DermaPen is able to reach hard to reach places, such as around the eyes and nose, making it much more flexible. Moreover DermaPen can control the depth pricks, which makes it possible to optimally treat the different areas of the face and body of a capsule. Derma Pen is easy to use even at home, while reaching results achievable only with laser technology.
Since its introduction in the market DermaPen used to improve the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles, atrophied and sun damaged skin, various forms of scarring and stretch marks. It is also used to improve the outcome of various applications aimed alopecia, keloid scars, vitiligo and others.
